    Description

Accurate hydrogen pressure measurement is essential for so many applications, but it is a medium that can leak through a wide range of materials and can also cause embrittlement in various metals. The small molecular size and chemical reactivity of hydrogen means that the metal used in the sensor housing and diagram has to be carefully selected if the sensor is to remain non-leaky and avoid long term degradation. Material choices for hydrogen sensors can include, stainless steel 316LMo, ceramic diaphragms, oil filled stainless steel diaphragms with silicon and gold plated stainless steel diaphragms. However stainless steel 316LMo offers the perfect blend for optimal performance, non-leakiness, longevity and budget in our view, which is why the part of the sensor in contact with the contained media, in new DMP336 hydrogen pressure sensor, is made from this ultra corrosion resistant grade of stainless steel.

The DMP336 hydrogen pressure sensor has been especially developed for hydrogen applications and can be also be used with other technical gases e.g. oxygen. This cross performance is achieved by the aforementioned stainless steel alloy 1.4435 (316LMo) which is not subject to hydrogen embrittlement or corrosion. The DMP336 hydrogen pressure sensor conforms to ISO 15001 (oil and grease free) meaning it can be also used for pure oxygen applications.

The DMP336 is ideal for use in any industrial application that requires the pressure measurement of hydrogen or oxygen gas to a high degree of accuracy. Accuracy options available from this high precision pressure sensor start from better than ±0.35 % up to ≤±0.1 accuracies.

This hydrogen pressure sensor can measure ranges from 0-16bar up to 0-1000bar in the gauge version. Plus, it comes with a variety of supply options of 8-32Vdc, 10-28Vdc, along with 4-20mA an output option. An ATEX-certified IS version (Zone 0/20) is optionally available for explosion-protected application.

The parts of the DMP336 hydrogen pressure sensor that is not in contact with the contained media is made from stainless steel 1.4404 (316L) to provide complete protection from corrosion from external sources. Plus, it is offered with various mechanical and electrical connections to suit your high accuracy application.
