    JOB DESCRIPTION – Transducer Technician

    We are a small specialist engineering company situated on the Calleva Park Estate, Aldermaston currently seeking a Technician who will primarily be working in the main Production and Calibration Department.

    Responsibilities

    • Assembly and calibration of load, torque and displacement transducers.
    • Carry out mechanical and electrical assembly and testing of transducer systems (analogue/digital output)

    Experience / Qualifications

    • Electrical and/or mechanical qualifications
    • Soldering and wiring experience. (IPC-610)
    • Working in the Transducer Industry (desirable)
    • Self-motivated individual who works well on their own but is also a team player who is happy to work with the team and assist other engineers when required

    • Full-time role
    • Working hours  – 09:00am to 5:00pm, Monday – Friday
    • Salary: dependent on qualifications and experience.

    JOB DESCRIPTION – Production Planner / Team Leader

    We are a small specialist engineering company situated on the Calleva Park Estate, Aldermaston currently seeking a Production Planner who will primarily be working in the main Production and Calibration Department.

    Responsibilities

    • Ensure Production works orders are organised, distributed and assigned to Gauging, Subcontractors and Calibration Engineers in line with Production targets to meet Customer requirements.
    • Assign repairs and Re-calibration Sales orders to engineers in line with delivery requirements, working alongside the Repairs Sales and Service Administrator.
    • Plan and manage Sub-contractors using Excel spreadsheets.
    • Distribute and organise completed orders from Calibration engineers to despatch in line with Sales order shipping dates.
    • Work alongside the Gauging Supervisor and Pressure Production Manager to ensure all company processes and targets are being adhered to. (Delivery, Quality, and ISO).
    • Update Non-Conformance register from forms actioned by Calibration Engineers.
    • Prepare for and attend the Weekly Production meeting, focusing on delivery dates and assessing Production issues with Management.
    • Create and manage reports/spreadsheets for major production projects required by Management.
    • Cover the Despatch area when a colleague is on leave/absence.

    Experience / Skills

    • Good knowledge of MRP systems. SAGE would be an advantage
    • Proficient In Excel and Word
    • Experience in a manufacturing environment
    • Ideally, previous experience of Non-Conformance although training will be given.
    • Able to multitask and be flexible as there are frequent changes in priorities due to some fast turnaround parts
    • Good people skills

    As this is a Team Leader role, you will also be required to :

    • Manage the capacity within your area, highlighting and managing possible bottlenecks to ensure all avenues have been exhausted before requesting resource from other areas of the business
    • Ensure Engineer Skills Matrix is updated with relevant skills and Jobs completed
    • Process all documents that will require further investigation or improvements, Bill of materials, NCR etc
    • Ensure that all staff reporting to yourself are following company guidelines and procedures in all processes they are utilizing
    • Attend Health and Safety Audits and Department Head meetings where necessary
    • Highlight  “Near misses” and highlight possible Risks within your area
    • Be involved with Staff review meetings alongside HR
    • Create and Manage improvement plans within your area of the business.
    • Organise Overtime within your department, at Management’s discretion.
