What we do

If your load, pressure, torque, position or displacement transducer has stopped working then we offer one of two solutions.

The repair option

There is a strong likelihood that we will be able to repair your transducer if it is based on foil-type strain gauges, that are easily accessible and contains either no integrated electronics or integrated electronics that are familiar to us.

The replacement option

There will be a number of reasons why your transducer is not cost effective to repair. Reasons may include welded joints, problems with integrated electronics that we are unable to fix or physical damage so great as to make any repair practically impossible. However, in cases where we cannot repair your faulty transducer then we can provide a dimensionally-identical replacement via our customer design service.

FAQs

What Happens on receipt of item(s)

As soon as we have received your goods at our Transducer Repair Services Department we will let you know using the contact details you supply on the RMA form.  Our engineers will then conduct an initial inspection and send back a detailed fault report within 7 working days.  There is no need to worry about hidden costs as you can be assured that we will not carry out any chargeable repairs without your prior approval.

Where possible, we aim to send back your repaired transducer within 21 days of its arrival, depending on the nature of the fault.

If we cannot repair the transducer, we will send you a quotation for a dimensionally-identical replacement.

What damages can you repair?

We take great pride in being able to repair many forms of damaged transducer, so please send your faulty transducer to us, along with the completed RMA form. Common service repair jobs include:

  • Water and moisture damage
  • Zero shift – minor overloading
  • Connector or cable damage
  • Faulty strain gauge or wiring

Can you recalibrate after repair?

Yes, we can recalibrate your transducer after repair. This would be included as standard for certain types of repair. If you would like your transducer calibrated then please indicate this request on the RMA form.
