Our Shear Pin Load Cells and Draw Wire Sensors Deliver Flawless Results in Sub-Zero Temperatures

Applied Measurements were contacted by Victoria University of Wellington to provide reliable and accurate equipment that could operate in the sub-zero temperatures of the Antarctic. Using Applied Measurements’ two customised DBEP shear pin load cells, a WS12 draw wire sensor and four intuitive2 displays, the RICE team were able to successfully extract a 763m deep ice core from an ice cap on Roosevelt Island.

Pressure Transducer Delivers Water Level Monitoring in Emergency Tank Shower

Applied Measurements provided spill control and containment manufacturer Empteezy with a Pi600 series pressure transducer. The Pi600 series pressure transducer was connected and calibrated to the digital readout scale on the front of the shower giving an accurate reading of the litres of water remaining in the tank.

Applied Measurements Raise Funds for Sebastian’s Action Trust

Congratulations to Wendy Jeffery, Applied Measurements’ Sales and Marketing Assistant, for completing her first ever half marathon on Sunday 5th October. She completed the course in the fantastic time of 2 hours 04 minutes. “The course was extremely challenging with many, many hills throughout. Telemetry Lift Link Load Cells Tip the Scales for Plaxton Bus

A multi-channel system was set up using two ET24-5T and two ET24-12T telemetry lift link load cells, two inclinometers (angle sensors) and a T24-BSu base station. ET24 telemetry load cells were attached to each corner of the bus to monitor the load and the two inclinometers were used to measure the incline. Once the bus was lifted, instantaneous measurements were picked-up by a T24-BSu wireless telemetry base station and the data was transmitted straight to the PC or laptop.
