Description

The T24-HK-S Wireless Sensor Display by Applied Measurements can receive data from up to 12 wireless transmitters. Whilst it looks similar to the TRX, it will display data supplied by any of the range of T24 transmitters which include strain gauge, voltage, current, potentiometer, pulse and temperature input versions. This wireless connectivity allows for load, pressure and torque telemetry to be continuously monitored where it would be impractical to have a wired connection. Examples of where this wireless capability is essential include crane load, smart agriculture or infrastructure monitoring.

Straight out of the box, it operates in roaming mode, automatically detecting and displaying data from up to twelve nearby T24 transmitters. With no physical obstructions, a range of up to 800m is achievable. For more tailored configurations, users can define up to twelve specific inputs, as an alternative to discovering them in roaming mode. Transmitters can be added manually and, if necessary, grouped together under group names.

Each input can be separately customised with their own warnings, alerts and calibrated units to meet particular monitoring needs. The default menu system allows access to all configuration. However, the administrator can lock or hide menu items and set PINs and Passwords to stop users from changing settings by mistake. Additionally, the display interface is customisable through the toolkit software, giving users the flexibility to adapt the display for specific operational requirements.

The light weight (332g), handheld T24-HK-S can either be powered via two internal AA 1.5v batteries or via the micro USB connector located at the back for device. 35 hours of continuous operation is achievable using the internal batteries, which are themselves easily replaceable.

The licence free 2.4GHz direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) radio telemetry technology offers high integrity, error free communications which can co-exist with other wireless technologies such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth® and Zigbee®. The whole T24 ranges has FCC, ETSI and IC approvals.

PC Toolkit software

The downloadable toolkit software enables advanced calibration and configuration options as well as data logging via the free PC Toolkit software. Recorded data is stored on the PC and can be exported as a .CSV file. The T24-HK-S is supplied with a micro USB cable to allow for Toolkit interaction and to enable the TRX operate indefinitely from a USB power source, if required.

Firmware is updatable using the toolkit software. This will allow users to access new features as we release them in the future. This will include mathematical functions, enabling calculations such as sums and differences across the defined inputs.

The Display

128 x 64 monochrome dot matrix display with backlight. The display will change depending on the mode and options you have enabled.
