The output from a Wheatstone bridge depends on the excitation voltage and is normally specified as a millivolt output per excitation voltage.
For example: if we have 10mV output per voltage excitation and we apply a 5V excitation, this gives us a maximum output signal of:
5 x 10mV = 50mV for full-scale pressure
This is the ideal curve in practice.
You will find that there is a fixed null offset and full-scale output tolerance. On top of this you then need to add all the different accuracy and temperature effects.
For detailed information on any of the above points, consult the relevant Engineering Notes in this series.
In order to demonstrate the principle, the errors are exaggerated (see specific data for individual errors and sensors).
